Insurance
Dr. Segal does not accept any health insurance plans or state medical assistance programs including medicare or medicaid. Health insurance plans often place restrictions on providers and patients that limit the amount of time that psychiatrists can spend with their patients. Unfortunately, this often creates barriers to outstanding patient care. Therefore, Dr. Segal is an out-of-network provider and does not take payment directly from any insurance company. Patients (or the parent/guardian) are responsible for all fees associated with treatment and may elect to seek reimbursement from their insurance provider. Dr. Segal provides a receipt with appropriate diagnoses and service codes know as a “superbill” that can be submitted to your insurance company for possible reimbursement for out of network services.
Payment
Check, cash and all major credit cards are accepted. Patients must have a current and valid credit or debit card on file. Payments are made by check, cash, or through an automatic charge to the card on file on the day of the appointment.
